…just be glad you can’t see the view from behind.

You’ll have to pardon the hastily sketched, craptacular background. You’ll see a lot of those as I continue this comic. I hate drawing backgrounds, and it shows.

I know, I know, a lot of the oddities you see at pride parades are all just good, silly fun, not meant to be taken seriously, and I do find it entertaining. But every once in a while you trip over something that just makes you do a double-take and, after a liberal dousing with brain-bleach to try to scrub the image from your mind, wonder just how one’s supposed to take seriously one’s demand to be recognized as a respected member of the community just like any ol’ hetero.

Then again, I’ve already waxed on in lengthy detail on that in my Out and Proud vs. Out and Loud spiel, rattling about how sometimes being proudly and openly gay can border on obnoxious and socially unacceptable behavior. So I’ll spare you that here. It’s a joke, take it as a joke, blah blah blah, come back tomorrow if you want to play serious games. Later.

…I saw someone almost exactly like that yesterday. With corpse paint and roller skates. I can dig up the picture if you like. ;)

Holy shit, it’s like Dale from ‘King of the Hill’ suddenly embraced his inner Judy Garland.

[...] I remember when I saw that happen. I think I had to pick my jaw up off the floor afterwards. As for another quick bit of gay humor to share on this fine Monday, check out Adri’s (of Pride and Opinions fame)No Style comic. He sums up what a lot of us mainstream homosexuals feel, but can’t quite put into words. He captures it perfectly with this splendid artistic display of sarcasm. [...]

Mevima: I’d appreciate it if you didn’t, thanks.

Anji: Well, this is Texas…Houston, not Arlen, but still. They had to get their inspiration for Dale somewhere.

I’m Bisexual, but I don’t go around shouting “I DIG CHICKS! BRING ME PUSSY! SAME SEX FOREVER!” Even if I was Gay instead of Bi I wouldn’t do that. Most people don’t even realize i’m bi, until I walk in holding hands with a girl and snuggling up to her. I don’t give off a “omg she so digs chicks” vibe… and I don’t try it. On the other hand, there was a girl who was bi-curious who said she’d date me. I found that out to be a mistake… the day after we started dating she called each one of her friends “OMG, Amy i’m SO a lesbian!” “Karen guess what? I’M GAY. YEAH!” “Mark guess what, I’m with a chick now! No of course we can’t threesome, i’m a LESBO!” I Wanted to punch her. So I talked to her. And then SHE punched me. Romance ended with only a slight bruising and massive need of brainbleach. I wish I could forget that.
