Just a little bit more.

by Adrien-Luc Sanders

Okay, kids, this is my last post, so it’s time to take this bitch out with a bang. If I’m leaving, I’m not leaving with some pussy parting gift like a DVD. I have just ordered a 4GB silver 3rd-gen iPod Nano - that means video, kids - and one of you chickadees is walking away with it provided that we get to 3,000 comments.Image snitched from Buy.com

This week, please. I’d like to let the head honcho know that I’m going, and when I do that depends on you.

We’re currently at 2,867 comments. Number 3,000 gets the Nano; that means we need 133 more comments. They can be on this post, on any other post, anywhere on Darkside Rainbow, as long as we hit 3,000. Spread the word; tell your friends, tell other readers, tell anyone, but let’s rack the comment count up. If we could hit 500 in one weekend (that…was psychotic), we can hit 133 in one week. You know the rules on what does and doesn’t qualify for comments by now. If you don’t, you’ll learn when your “LJSKLDJFLSJFLKSDJFKLS ;)” is number 3,000 and the person after you posting “Uh…wtf was that?” wins. Only difference is that you can still win even if you’ve won before, if you’re another blogger for 451, or even if you’re one of my friends (although the latter would be a little unfair if you haven’t previously read or commented.)

On a less abrasive note, thank you to everyone who commented on the last post explaining my reasons for leaving. I do appreciate your support and encouragement.

Now get to commenting, bitches.

  1. Kujo Hikaru Says:

    Wow…yeah, caffeine…

Do I need to get the ropes?

  2. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

~flat look~ You are just damned determined to make sure you don’t get that coffee date, aren’t you? (…that means no Wizard World, too.)

  3. Kujo Hikaru Says:

*shuts his mouth and prays for forgiveness?*

  4. amanda Says:

    …I want a coffee date… :(

  5. Lessa Says:

    Coffee? Where’s mine?!

Don’t worry, Hikaru. _I’ll_ take you out for coffee if I ever set foot on your home stomping grounds. *g*

  6. Ashtara Says:

There are days I really wish coffee affected me like it does normal people. Seriously, how does it work when you fall asleep after consuming caffeine?

  7. Sihaya Says:

    Wizard World?

    Slightly on topic:

I like the new campaign slogan from the GBLT organisation:

“F*ck holebi and hetero. I’m tolero.”

The christian democratic party is throwing a fit over the ‘explicit language’ xD

  8. Shelly Says:

If I drink a lot of caffeine I am no good to the world or myself for the about 4 hours while it leaves my system. But, the jolt is nice because I seem to get a lot accomplished while I am on that jittery high. ha!

  9. Shelly Says:

And I’ll take a coffee date as well, thanks! :)

  10. Reynai Says:

Coffee? *shudder* Do not mention that vile liquid in front of me. I’m just glad that my present workplace has the good manners to cover up coffee cups with cheap plastic lids, so that the stench doesn’t affect me.

  11. DaveP Says:

Damn, you’re leaving Adri. How are we going to cope at 452 without you? Waaaah!

  12. Kate Says:

Wizard World, yes? Maybe will be able to go. :)

  13. Randi Says:

I can’t believe you’re laving Adri!!! Is there going to be any place we can read you now that you’re leaving?!

  14. Shirvona Says:

I don’t like coffee cept in cake. Then it’s niiice. I drink tea *happy tea-induced smiles*
Will be sad without you :( I’ll need to find a new website that keeps getting me blocked from the internets at school. Although now I think about it, there are many that will do that. Hotmail, for example. (Okay, that was an exaggeration. But not bu much.)
ZOMG comments it will be EASY to get that many.

  15. Kyle Dylan Conner Says:

Seems like I just joined the network, and now everyone’s leaving. My fault? lol.

  16. Perceval Says:

Sorry to see you go man, its been fun seeing both you and Lyndsey have those argumentative articles. Good luck with everything!

  17. Billie Says:

Omg ! :O a nano! i need one >.< but i never have any luck… so i kinda have already given up.

  18. LATurner Says:

So the total of comments on this post needs to hit 133? Hmm, now I only need a hundredish more interesting things to say…

Sorry to see you go, I enjoyed the column. Good luck.

  19. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

Not quite, LATurner. Current count (before my comment) is 2,890, because some people are going back and commenting on older posts, and that counts towards the overall total too. So after this one there’ll be 109 to go. Doesn’t necessarily have to be 133 on this post.

  20. Unbalanced Says:

I saw this on a blog I frequent this morning and thought I’d share it with all of you.

  21. Van Says:

Here’s one to the many posts, Adrien! I don’t comment often, but it makes me sad to see you going. Although I totally get it too. :D And there are greener pastures out there for you, etc. :D

  22. Anji Says:

Mmm omg tea. I just bought fifteen bucks’ worth from Adagio. I’m just about DYING waiting for it to arrive.

  23. Sam Says:

Wow, I think I need to do some major backtracking on all this stuff, because I have no clue what’s going on on this site anymore.

  24. Shelly Says:

I have ran out of things to say. I am a bit sad though, because you have the most interesting topics to talk about. Maybe I should surf back and find things to comment on.

  25. Kaine Says:

    I know I haven’t been commenting much lately, but I have been reading, and you had better believe that I (And Mizuki) will miss you. ;~;

But…does this mean that I get to stalk yer other blog? Pretty please? :puppy dog eyes:

  26. Indikaze Says:

Which other blog? I don’t think he can stop us from stalking his writing blog…. unless he moves without telling us. In which case we put on our groupie hats and stalk the internet, trampling lives, property, and uneaten tortilla chips in our madness-induced search.

Or get bored and wander off. With mobs it’s hard to tell.

  27. JM Says:

Oh, Adri. This makes me wish I would have said more before now instead of lurking. I’m sorry to see you go when you have such a presence on the network. I wish you the best in all you do.

  28. Lessa Says:

PS - I refuse to believe you’re leaving. Who is going to be my secret blog-crush now? I mean SERIOUSLY?

Thus, you can’t leave, I won’t believe it, and if you insist then I have to win this little contest so that I have something to remember you by. Other then my coffee mug and t-shirt, of course.

    But still!

    Sigh. Dammit.

  29. JM Says:

Lessa - I’m thinking of stalking him on his other internet spaces. Perhaps we could work together? ;)

  30. Ashtara Says:

I’m also going to miss this blog. It’s the only one I check regularly. But that’s life, and I understand why you’re leaving.
I’d love to see a link to keep track of what you’re working on, though.

  31. Randi Says:

JM and Lessa - count me in!!

  32. Tone Says:

I should check if Adri’s other blogs get blocked at my school. This one is blocked as being a website about “Adult Lifestyles.”

  33. Lessa Says:

    Whoo! I love stalking! Heh.heh.heh.

    I’m in, JM and Randi!

  34. JM Says:

Now that there are three of us, does that makes us groupies instead of stalkers?

  35. amanda Says:

There will be no stalking of my adri. You will ask permission like nice people or I will put hurt on you.

    ~misses adri already~ :(

  36. Ashtara Says:

Aww. But stalking is so much fuuuun. Just a little stalkeriffic goodness?
Or not. I have a tiny attention span, I doubt I could actually focus on stalking anyone for any significant period of time.

  37. Chantal Says:

oh man… I feel like I just started reading these! *sniff* and now you’re going already? Man, I think I commented a total of three or four times… that’s a record for me! :D

I guess I’ll have to find a new way to brighten my days :(

^_^ I wish the best of luck! I’ll be watching for that book I’ve heard about!

  38. Chantal Says:

oops… there was supposed to be a “you” in there…

  39. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

Uh. Trust me, my writing blog isn’t interesting enough to stalk. It rarely updates and it’s all about characterization, word counts, and biting my nails waiting to hear a yes or no from a publisher on my first novel while I try to finish a second without feeling like a complete sell-out because it’s pure YA fluff with no substance and really isn’t what I wanted to be writing, but it got ahold of me and it’s stuff like that that sells.

There’s always the blog at my other job, but all I ever blog about is flash animation tutorials. When I’m not raving my head off about GBLTQ issues, I’m interminably dull. Well…some people find my LJ pretty entertaining, but that’s closed to the general public and I’m not friending any new people right now. Already have so many people that I have to filter some out to feel comfortable posting regularly.

Random aside…I wonder why all of JM’s comments automatically go into the spam filter. Weird.

And just for an update: 2,923 total. 77 to go.

  40. Ashtara Says:

Eh, sounds plenty interesting to me, but I’m a writer, so those are pretty relevant topics to me.

  41. Adri S. Says:

The writing blog actually sounds interesting to me too… But I also write. (Needs to go finish up those three short stories)…

    And tea, yum!

    Adri

  42. Tone Says:

Gah, I wish I could write. And this coming from an English Literature major… Blegh. I roleplay? Does that count? No? Then I go sulk in my non-creative corner.

  43. Van Says:

So how’s it going? Do we have a winner yet? And how are you liking GW? (I know this is totally relevant to your interests.)

  44. amanda Says:

~sympathizes with Tone~ I was also a lit major. Though I’ve never claimed to have any talent with writing. I’m a reader. I beta. For some reason the stuff in my head - and my imagination scares even me sometimes - just won’t come out in the form of words. Alas for the skilless. skill-less. skillless…~gives up~

  45. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

Van: We’re almost halfway there, roughly 70 comments away. And I haven’t had a chance to plug in those GW codes you gave me yet; still been hacking away at work and trying to write.

Amanda: We should have a big commiseration party for all those lacking in skill, ’cause gods know I ain’t got nothin’ right now. Five chapters away from finishing this book and I haven’t pecked out more than 50 words at a time in a month. Bleh; I’m a bloody effin’ hack. There should be booze. Booze and naked men. Although in absence of the naked men, I will be satisfied with just the booze. Anything to make the wait go by faster (I’m about to go nuts waiting to hear back from the publisher about my first novel, I mean…what are the odds of getting chosen from the slush pile?), and drunken hazes tend to speed things by pretty quickly.

…and apple cinnamon muffins. (I still can’t find any of those around here, btw. Where the hell do you buy them from?)

  46. amanda Says:

Lots and lots of booze. I’m so there. Does anyone know how to make girlie fruity drinks? Sometimes I like to take a break from my Jack and Jack. I’m so glad I’ll never have to worry about waiting for a publisher, as I’m incapable of finishing just about anything. Even last year’s NaNo is sitting at like 5000 words away from the mark, and right at the climax of the story, and I got nothing for it. Which is sad, ’cause I’d really like to know what the fuck happens.

…my daddy makes them. I don’t know how. But they’re mushy and yummy and…and…*cries*

(is it weird that I’m not actually homesick, but I miss food? I suppose it’d be normal for someone living on peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches…)

  47. Sihaya Says:

I haven’t had a chance to plug in those GW codes you gave me yet

GW as in Guild Wars? Plug them in already! Make a Necromancer! It’ll be fuuuuuuun!

  48. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

Amanda: My TACB certification is expired, but I still know how to make all the damn girly drinks you want. Although I still swear by the three wise men: Jim, Jack, and Johnny.

…now how in hell am I supposed to send you a care package of apple cinnamon muffins if I can’t buy ‘em anywhere? I can make some bitchin’ dinners, but when it comes to dessert, don’t ever trust me to make anything without burning it. I’d try to bake you some muffins, but you’d just get a box of little hard cinders that used to be somewhat organic.

Sihaya: B-but…I’ll never get any work done or finish the YA novel!

  49. Lessa Says:

Your writing blog is indeed stalkable - as I’ve stalked it for months now and never commented there so you NEVER EVEN KNEW IT!

…until now. Eep! (omg. I eeped. clearly, Lessa has lost what little mind she had left… moving on.)

I too write - though not nearly enough, says mom and TBF, and I have a horrible fear of rejection so after the finished novel was rejected 5 times I kinda have it sitting there waiting and staring at me saying HEY! REMEMBER ME! SUBMIT ME SOME MORE DAMMIT! OR EDIT ME! SOMETHING! while I resolutely pretend that writing about Reality TV is just as fulfilling and infinitely more fun, dammit!

Which it is. Well, on the more fun part. Who else gets to say they get paid to sit on their ample behind and watch bad tv?! inorite?

and also - mmmmmmmm applecin muffins. yum!

    […] http://www.darksiderainbow.net/just-a-little-bit-more/ […]

  51. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

~grins~ Oh, I knew, darlin’. I do have Sitemeter over there, too, y’know, and I know your IP. ~pets WordPress~ Speak up! …so I don’t feel so bloody lonely over there. >.>

  52. Sihaya Says:

I guess if more people come over to the writing blog you’ll have to update it more xD Though you’ve been quite active over the past few days!

As for GW… Carefull planning goes a long way xD And I’ll run you everywhere, I have high levels =D

  53. Shirvona Says:

What writing blog is this that people speak of? It intrigues me. As do the muffins. I want to make muffins now.

  54. LATurner Says:

Maybe write more booze and naked men into the storylines… motivation! :P

  55. Ashe Says:

When the comments are told to wrack up, they turn to naked men and booze.

That said, I somehow missed the last post (I’ve been sick for a few days) and I’m really sad to hear that this blog is ending. I enjoyed it. Then again, in time all good things end.

  56. Shirvona Says:

The muffins do not end! The muffins are eternal!

    sorry.

  57. Ashe Says:

If the muffins are eternal, why do I have none?

  58. Sihaya Says:

If pie is a lie, aren’t muffins too?

  59. Shirvona Says:

Pie? How is pie relevent to muffins, other than the obvious connection of being foodstuffs? The muffins are eternal, but not necessarily ubiquitous.

  60. Ashe Says:

The cake is not a lie. The pie, however, may be.

  61. Sihaya Says:

Where does that expression come from, anyway?

  62. Adri S. Says:

Some people on here obviously know where this writing blog is. Does anyone want to tell, cause I obviously missed the memo…

    Adri S.

  63. Shirvona Says:

The expression may be as fictional as the pie, I know not. I like it anyway. Heh, pie.

  64. Ashtara Says:

The muffins are eternal, they’re just hiding from us.
I’ll skip the booze, but I wouldn’t say no to naked men.

  65. Ashtara Says:

    Adri S:
    http://www.zenunlimited.com/
I found it through his profile here.

  66. Ashe Says:

Booze, naked men, muffins, pie, and cake.

    Hungry, much?

And “the cake is a lie” comes from Portal. But the cake is not actually a lie, you just can’t have it. Thus the cake is not a lie.

  67. Jessy Says:

So sorry you are leaving this blog! Good luck with everything.

  68. Sihaya Says:

For those in search of the blog, there’s a ping back post of it in between these comments =) Scavenger hunt!

  69. Ashtara Says:

Or, y’know, there’s the link four posts up. xD

  70. Shirvona Says:

It’s more of a metaphorical cake? Or an ideal to aspire to that then cruelly turns out to be naught but an illusion? Or is it just a situation where you can’t have your cake and eat it? (that’s a stupid expression)

  71. Sihaya Says:

That is an interesting philosophical debate.

  72. Kaine Says:

Precisely, Shirvona. That’s why it ought to be “You can’t eat your cake and keep it, also.” THEN it makes sense.
    But anyway.

I run off to school for one day, and you guys break out the booze, men, and foodstuffs? Damn. Remind me to keep a closer eye on you people.

And Adri? (Still typing your name Adir. Oy. You’d think I’d learn.) I’m totally gonna be stalking your blog. I like writing talk. Maybe it’ll even remind me to work on my stuff! :D

  73. Kujo Hikaru Says:

    My brain hurts…

  74. Kaine Says:

Oh, and I totally forgot. You absolutely have to play with GW when you have the time. Or when you need to procrastinate. ^-^

My brother and I are thinking of re-getting the whole thing. If we do, I’ma remake my Necro-Ranger, Dorian Sarkasti (I hope I spelled that right). Just so you all know.

    And maybe I’ll actually leave the starting town, this time! ^-^;;

(Sorry for the double post. I’m getting senile in my old age.)

  75. Rina Says:

You people make me hungry. At least I have coffee. (See that, being all writerly without even knowing, circling back to the beginning. Don’t mind me, I’ve got writing on the brain.)

I’ve never heard that “The cake is a lie” expression before. Only that the cake was left out in the rain.

  76. Ashtara Says:

Why does your brain hurt, Hikaru? We’re only a *little* crazy here.

  77. Ashe Says:

I’ve never even played the Portal game, but being too much a video game dork for my own good, inevitably I heard that the cake is a lie. And discovered it is not in fact.

    I’ll stop on that now.

  78. Kaine Says:

I’ma have to ask Mizuki about all this cake business. >:\

And don’t worry, Hikaru. My brain hurts too. But that just might be the relative lack of sleep. =/

Mrr. I’m hungry now, too. My eating schedule is still totally out of wack. I should get something.

Sorry. Rambling. It’s the tired. It kills.

Anyone else wanna play Mao right now? (All we’d need is a deck of virtual cards and someone who knows the rules! :3)

    *bouncebouncebounce*

    *stops. Fer srs this time.* >.>;;

  79. Shirvona Says:

Rina: the cake was left out in the rain? I thought it was your cat you had to never leave out in the rain.

  80. Sihaya Says:

To all the GW playing people:

    Sihaya Syme

    Give me a shout =D

  81. Ashe Says:

A cat left in the rain would be an unhappy cat indeed.

  82. Ashtara Says:

Nope, it’s Gremlins you should never leave in the rain.

  83. Lessa Says:

Hey wait - so, if you know my IP address, and have tracked me on SiteMeter, thus knew of my attention to your little writing space…

…doesn’t that make YOU the stalker? *shining grin*

Don’t ask. It’s blond logic. And it totally works for me!

And lawdamercy, cakes pies booze and nekid men… See, I go take a nap and the whole place goes crazy! Don’t let my return to the living stop the insanity, however… *g*

  84. Rina Says:

Not my cat, I don’t have one. ~grins~

“Someone left a cake out in the rain,
and I don’t think I can take it
’cause it took so long to bake it
and I’ll never have that recipe again.
    Oh no!”

I can’t rememebr the name of that song, for the life of me, but Weird Al did do a parody of it about Juraissic Park.

  85. Sihaya Says:

Everone knows kitties shrink in the rain *nods*

  86. Shirvona Says:

My kitty is cross cause it’s raining, as a matter of fact. I don’t think he’s shrunk yet though. He may be too fat for the rain to affect him.

  87. Sihaya Says:

You should tell him not to eat too much then. And tell him to eat dry food too. Our kitty never really did and he’s lost all his teeth.

  88. Shirvona Says:

He only ever gets dry food. I think he eats mice and stuff as well though, but not rats cause he’s scared of them, which is kind of pathetic when you’re a cat.

  89. Sihaya Says:

My cat came home with half a rabit once. Lord knows where he got it.

  90. Shirvona Says:

There are many places where one can get half a rabbit. Or even a whole rabbit, if so inclined. Unless you live in a city and not near any parks, in which case it was probably some poor child’s beloved pet.

  91. Ashe Says:

The farm cat has come up to visit admissions on account of the rain and the unseasonably cold weather. It seems content to sleep on our couches.

  92. Sihaya Says:

‘If one wants to best spot in the house, one has to move the cat first.’

  93. Ashe Says:

    XD

Sihaya: That is very very true. I think right now the farm cat is sleeping on the Dean of Admission’s sofa.

  94. Shirvona Says:

So true. Also the dog, in our house, since he thinks the sofa cushions are his by right of conquest. Also, he bites those who attempt to move him without bribes or gloves.

  95. Sihaya Says:

    Dog hair everywhere Dx

    I’m such a cat person!

  96. Ashe Says:

I prefer cats myself, but right now I only have rats. (Two and cute as hell >.>)

  97. Shirvona Says:

I like kitties but my dad doesn’t so we have a dog too…but he has short hair so I can normally cope unless it gets on my clothes. Then I shout a lot.

  98. Sihaya Says:

Does a rat require a lot of care?

  99. Lessa Says:

I have a dog that thinks he’s a cat - does that count? We got the two cats first, and then the puppy - so they Fat Cat had already decided he was Top Dog, and my dog was too stupid to realize he was bigger and the natural predator of said cat, so is completely kept in line by the 17 pound monster. *L* It’s rather amusing to watch - the dog starts a fight, the cat ends it, dog slinks away.

And sits on the back of the couch like he’s a cat - and he’s not a little dog - he’s mostly a lab. *L*

  100. Van Says:

So what did I miss? Cats and dogs? I have a kitty on my lap riiiiiight now. And she is better than you. (Most cats are.) Also I have coffee. :D

  101. Sihaya Says:

I guess that proves that nurture plays a bigger part than nature xD

  102. Ashe Says:

Rats love attention, so as much attention as you can give them. They also like time out of their cage to play, and even outside if you have an outdoor area to keep an eye on them. Other than that, a clean cage, food and water. That’s it.

They are very intelligent buggers, and very affectionate too. I have one I’ve raised since she was a tiny baby, because she was abandoned.

  103. Sihaya Says:

    We’re breaking the template, guys!

Thanks for the info, Ashe. My cousin is thinking about getting a white rat.

  104. Kaine Says:

    Ooh! Aminals! :| *searches*

Thank the gods for the internets.

  105. Shirvona Says:

We have rats. We tend not to consider them a blessing. Sometimes they get into the house and eat things. One lived in the piano.

  106. Ashe Says:

No prob! I like spreading the love of rats. A lot of people hate them on principle, when as pets they’re really great.

  107. Kaine Says:

    Er…I don’t think that last post quite worked. o.o;;

  108. Shirvona Says:

…I wouldn’t hate them if they weren’t such a nuisance.

  109. Sihaya Says:

Rats in the piano? That’s a disaster!

  110. Ashe Says:

Shirova: I’m assuming they aren’t pet rats, then?

  111. Kaine Says:

Ooh! Rats! I loves them. <3

    But then, I can’t think of an animal I don’t love. ^-^

Like I was trying to say before, I have three cats, not counting the ones we feed from outside, but I also want a puppy. A big puppy. Like a great dane. ^-^

I also want that Weird Al Jurassic Park song, now. I remember it from when I was tiny. :3

  112. Van Says:

I had rats as a kid. They’re sort of like hamsters, just. With longer tails. Sort of.

  113. Lessa Says:

    Ew. Rats. *shudders*

    I can’t get over their tails… yuck.

  114. Sihaya Says:

We must all look pretty silly mashing the refresh button all the time.

    I know I do xD

  115. Kaine Says:

Lessa! How can you not love the rats?! They’re so tiny and furry and adorable! <333

  116. Shirvona Says:

Ashe: no. nonononono. They live outside scuttle arund on my feet when I go out in the dark to feed the pigs. They also eat the pig food. My brother wants a pet rat tho.
Sihaya: my refresh button is going to wear out soon.

  117. Sihaya Says:

Did you see Ratatoulli? Remi is so adorable!

  118. Ashe Says:

    XD Oh well in that case. Yeah, no, wild rats aren’t as cute o.o;;;

And my refresh button probably has the logo wore off some >.>

  119. Adrien-Luc Sanders Says:

    And Kaine wins.

~dives back to work due in 45 minutes, muttering very nasty things under his breath (not about you guys, work is pissing me off)~

  120. Shirvona Says:

The thing I find funny about that film is that on all the posters it said how to pronounce the word…

  121. Shirvona Says:

Wait, someone won? Wooo! I lost count.

  122. Van Says:

    Woo! Congrats Kaine :D

  123. Sihaya Says:

Congratulations, Kaine! Now I can finally go to bed xD

    Tata!

  124. Lessa Says:

    DAMMIT! *Harumph* Congrats Kaine. *g*

And now I must stop attempting to win the already won - and get some work done. Have fun, guys!

  125. Shirvona Says:

Should probably go too…school tomorrow and all that jazz. Au revoir. Or rather, farewell.

  126. Kaine Says:

    o-o

    ^-^!

    Really?
    Wheee! <33

And I would say more, except I’ve already probably stayed too long. Gotta get ready for ESOL and suchlike.

    Butbutbut.
    Wheee!
    <3!
    Baiii! *flees*

  127. Van Says:

*plays a violin recording of the funeral march or something else equal final and suitably ending*

  128. Ashtara Says:

    Congrats, Kaine.
I’ll really miss this blog, though. Even though I’m probably just going to switch and stalk your writing blog.

  129. Adri S. Says:

Thanks Ashtara! I didn’t think of looking for it there.

I’ll miss this blog, but all good things must end. Good luck Adri!

    Adri S.

  130. Lynn Says:

*cries cause she came in so late and she’s gonna miss Adri and everyone and having such awesomely strange conversations and reading and feeling uplifted by Adri’s writing and how she’ll never feel this way again until she meets Adri, buys him a present and then gets his autograph cause he’s her hero*

I hope you do well in everything Adri!! Thanks for bringing this site to life. I appreciate everything you did and said and I am honestly a better person after knowing you.

    I <3 you!

  131. Donna Says:

I’m going to miss reading your blog, Adrien. Good wishes on all your future endeavors. Take care, hon!

This is post number 131. We need only two more to get it up to 3,000. Come on, people, we can do it!

  132. Kujo Hikaru Says:

Donna…someone already won. It was first to 3000 across all posts, not on this post.

  133. Jen Says:

Can I just say that I am heartbroken that you are not gonna be writing a little more. How will I continue my stalking and otherwise total and complete admiration without this blog….

  134. Donna Says:

    Thanks, Kujo.

  135. Kyla Says:

Awww, I’m so sad to see you go! Best of luck to you!

3000 posts? I’ll be lucky if I ever hit 300 during my entire time at 451. Heh.

  136. A. Shelton Says:

Hope it’s not too late for you to get this. I know I haven’t been visiting recently, but I’ll miss your posts here. And, even if you think it’s not worth keeping up with, I’ll keep checking in on your zenunlimited site–it just fascinates me how other writers get on with their work. :) *hug*

About Darkside Rainbow

DarksideRainbow.net is 451 Press's look at the darker side of the rainbow - where gay life takes a decided turn away from the happy, the shiny, and the pink, complete with news, gossip, and a healthy dose of caffeine-fueled cynicism from gay blogger Adrien-Luc Sanders. Check in Monday through Friday for a decidedly tongue-in-cheek slant on current events in the GLBTQ world, spiced with a few fun rants.
